A bit about me
Hi, I'm Zara.
I'm a Liverpool-based designer with a passion for fashion that's felt personal from the very beginning. After studying at the University of Salford and spending time working for others in the industry, I reached a point where I knew I wanted something more — something that was truly mine.
That's how By Zara Reid was born. A brand built on my own designs, my own vision, and my own name. Because when you pour your heart into what you create, it deserves to carry your signature.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: the right piece of clothing can change how you feel. I design for women who want to feel confident, beautiful, and completely themselves — whether that's through a perfectly draped dress, a cosy knit, or a bag that ties the whole look together.
Creativity isn't just what I do — it's who I am. And I'm so glad you're here to be part of it.
My Journey
Growing up, fashion was never just an interest — it was a language I spoke fluently. That passion led me to the University of Salford, where I was able to turn my creativity into a craft and truly develop my eye for design. I was able to be involved in a lot of cool experiences while at uni like being involved in a fashion show that was filmed for YouTube. I was able to get a lot of experience from pattern making to making, during my final collection I developed my love for creating my own prints which is what a lot of my work is full of print and colour. I also worked in a wedding dress studio in my third year and loved working there but somewhere along the way, I realised that what I really wanted was to create something of my own — pieces that carried my name, my vision, and my heart. That feeling is what brought By Zara Reid to life, and I haven't looked back since.
My design was involved in a fashion show for my University that was filmed to post on YouTube.
